When not logged in (you haven’t clicked on the Sign In button in the License Manager window) - it will not display who owns the iLok either, but it will, show the iLok’s serial number. In short the iLok1 doesn’t give any dat until you are logged in. The iLok1 may or may not show the count of licenses depending if it has been seen by that machine before. However the iLok1 does not have this capability. When any user isn’t logged in, an iLok2 will show the licenses that are on it. In the podcast, we also discussed how the new iLok would show up on the buyer’s iLok License Manager. We talked about how it was possible to buy the license secondhand, but that the seller would need to put it on an iLok and send the buyer the iLok, as Avid have now blocked transferring Pro Tools HD licenses from one iLok account to another.

NOTE: You CANNOT use the website for this. If you still can't find the iLok License Manager on the computer, you can download the installer for it from the official website. On macOS, you can find it in your "Applications" folder, and on Windows by searching for it in the Start Menu. If you have Soundtoys installed, you should have the iLok License Manager already installed on your computer.
License deactivation can only be done through the iLok License Manager using the same computer that has the activation in question.
